New York Minimum Wage

Currently, the minimum New York wage is $15.00 an hour for the majority of the state, with the rest of the state having a minimum wage of $13.20. Enacted as part of the 2016-2017 New York state budget, the plan kept the needs of employees and employers in mind. 

On December 31, 2016, the first wage increase took effect. For New York, the minimum wage differs based on the region of the state. These New York wages increased in each region until the minimum wage hit $15.00.
